President Donald Trump accidentally announced Laura Loomer’s engagement.
While introducing the MAGA activist, who describes herself as an investigative journalist and Trump’s chief loyalty enforcer, during his speech at the White House Christmas party on Dec. 15, Trump, 79, let it slip that Loomer, 32, has become recently engaged.
We have a very beautiful young woman — very lowkey, not controversial at all — Laura Loomer,” the president said from behind the podium. “Where’s your boyfriend?”
There’s another couple getting married,” he continued of Loomer and her fiancé, having just announced his son Donald Trump Jr.’s engagement announcement moments prior. “When are you getting married?
In response, Loomer shouted from the audience, “We don’t know yet, we haven’t announced it! You’re the first person to announce it.”
With a laugh, Trump went on to tell Loomer’s fiancé that he’s got a “great woman” and that they look good together.
People think she’s on the tough side. She’s not,” he noted. “She’s got a big heart, she just cares a lot about the country.
On Dec. 16, Loomer confirmed the news on her own social media while noting how much of an “honor” it was to be recognized by Trump.
“It is an even bigger honor that the President of the United States @POTUS just scooped me on publicly announcing my own engagement to the world from the White House,” she wrote on X alongside a video of the moment. “I’m very excited to be getting married, and I am thrilled that the greatest President ever approves of the greatest man in my life.”
While making an appearance on the PBD Podcast in July, Loomer was asked by host Patrick Bet-David whether she could ever put a man ahead of Trump in her life.
Yeah, look, I mean I don’t talk about my personal life that much, but I am currently — I guess this is the first time I’m really announcing this publicly — I am in a serious relationship,” she replied.
She also explained why she’s largely kept her partner out of the spotlight.
“I don’t talk about it a lot, but I met a really great guy and I keep him away from the media because I don’t want him to be targeted,” she said at the time. “He’s not political. We met on an airplane and we’ve been together for a while now.”
In addition to confirming her and her fiancé’s big news, Loomer also shared a video on Dec. 15 of Trump announcing that his eldest son had become engaged to Florida socialite Bettina Anderson.

Anderson then offered her own remarks, saying, “This has been the most unforgettable weekend. I get to marry the love of my life, and I feel like the luckiest girl in the world. Thank you.”
