6.Charity Participation Encouraged – While prior charitable work is appreciated and can strengthen applications, it is not mandatory.
7.Transgender Inclusion – Transgender women who are legally recognized as female in the U.S. are eligible to compete.
8.Evening Gown Freedom – There’s no strict dress code for gowns, though contestants are limited to a preliminary and a final gown for the competition.
9.Cover Your Own Expenses – Contestants are responsible for their own gowns, makeup, hair, and other competition-related costs, often with the help of sponsors.
10.Social Media Guidelines – Contestants can freely post on social media within reason; professionalism and positive engagement are expected.
11.One-Time State Victory – Once a contestant wins a state title and competes at Miss USA, they cannot compete again at the national level.
