If You See A Man With A Painted Fingernail, Here’s What It Means

A new campaign by YGAP, an Australian non-profit organization, has encouraged many male celebrities to post photos on social media with one painted fingernail.

While women are also welcome to participate, the campaign focuses mainly on men because of troubling statistics: men are responsible for around 90 percent of sexual assaults against children.

The campaign is called “Polished Man.”Its motto, “Nail it to end it,” promotes a simple idea — raising awareness and funds to help end violence against children, one painted nail at a time. The movement quickly spread across social media using the hashtags #PolishedMan and #NailIt.

Several well-known celebrities joined the campaign, including Chris Hemsworth, Michael Klim, and Zac Efron, who shared photos of themselves with one painted nail to show their support.

The campaign aims to spark conversations about child abuse and encourage people to donate to programs that support trauma prevention and recovery for children. So far, the Polished Man initiative has received over $513,000 in donations from more than 61,000 supporters worldwide.

Large companies have also contributed to the campaign, helping fund programs designed to protect children and support victims of abuse.

The fundraiser runs until October 15, encouraging people everywhere to take part, spread awareness, and support the cause.
